Go & Serve 2014 is heading to Cedar Rapids, Iowa

March 3, 2014

Why We’re Going to Cedar Rapids

•CEDAR RAPIDS HAS PLENTY OF WORK FOR US
•WE’LL BE WORKING WITH AN ORGANIZATION CALLED MATTHEW 25 – A GROUP THAT STARTED UP FOR FLOOD RELIEF BUT HAS NOW TRANSFORMED INTO CONTINUED SERVICE IN THEIR COMMUNITY
•THE WORK IN CEDAR RAPIDS WILL BE SIMILAR TO THE WORK IN ALMA & FULTON, MISSOURI (IT’S NOT A DISASTER ZONE, BUT HAS SOME GREAT NEED)
•WE’LL BE STAYING AT COE COLLEGE – TWO TO A ROOM – AS WE DID IN ALMA
•KNOX KITCHEN TEAM RETURNS FOR DINNER!!!  THE FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH OF CEDAR RAPIDS IS DOWN THE STREET FROM THE COLLEGE AND WE’LL BE EATING DINNER THERE EACH NIGHT
•WE’LL EAT BREAKFAST AT COE COLLEGE AND PACK OUR LUNCHES
•WE LOOKED AT SEVERAL CHOICES AND CEDAR RAPIDS WAS CHOSEN BY THE COMMITTEE – SO WE’RE VERY EXCITED WE’RE HEADED TO CEDAR RAPIDS!
