Go & Serve 2013 is heading to Alma, MICHIGAN

February 25, 2013
WHY WE’RE GOING TO ALMA

•ALMA HAS PLENTY OF WORK FOR THE 130 + GO & SERVERS
•ALMA IS AN OLDER COMMUNITY THAT HAS BEEN HIT HARD BY THE ECONOMIC DOWNTURN AND HAS PLENTY OF HOME REPAIR WORK -WHERE WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN MANY DIFFERENT PEOPLE’S LIVES
•THE WORK IN ALMA WILL BE SIMILAR TO THE WORK IN FULTON, MISSOURI IN SOME WAYS (IT’S NOT A DISASTER ZONE, BUT HAS SOME GREAT NEED)
ALMA IS 5 HOURS FROM NAPERVILLE

WHERE WE ARE STAYING & MORE INFO
•WE’LL BE STAYING IN ONE DORM AT ALMA COLLEGE – TWO TO A ROOM – AS WE DID IN JOPLIN
•THE RETURN OF THE KNOX KITCHEN TEAM!!!  THE FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH OF ALMA IS ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE COLLEGE AND WE’LL BE EATING DINNER THERE EACH NIGHT
•WE’LL EAT BREAKFAST AT ALMA COLLEGE AND PACK OUR LUNCHES
•WE HAD FOUR FINAL DESTINATION CHOICES AND ALMA WAS CHOSEN BY THE COMMITTEE – AND WE’RE VERY EXCITED HEADING TO ALMA THIS JUNE!
